Furong Town Overview

Basic Information

Furong town is located in Wuling mountain area,it is 51 kilometers south of Yongshun county,  The highest elevation in the town is 927 meters, and the lowest is 139 meters. The town has jurisdiction over 11 villages and 5 communities, and 141 villages (residential) groups, with a total area of 224.4 square kilometers and 33,139 people,mixed of Tujia, Miao and Han ethnic groups, Tujia people account for more than 80% of the total population.

Furong town(Wang village ) belongs to subtropical monsoon humid climate. This area has a mild climate and four seasons with abundant sunlight and rainfall. The annual average temperature is 12℃ -- 16℃, which is suitable for traveling all year round. The hottest average temperature in July is 24℃ -- 27℃, and the coldest average temperature in January is 1.7℃ -- 4.3℃.
