Travel Tips
- The scenic area opens daily from 8:00 am to 17:00 pm (last entry at 15:00 pm in low season, extended to 16:00 pm in summer peak season). It is recommended to allocate 5–6 hours for a full visit (canyon exploration + glass bridge + optional activities) to avoid rushing through the highlights.
- The combined ticket (canyon + glass bridge) is valid for one day only, and separate tickets are available for the glass bridge (extra fee) if you only want to visit the sky-high attraction. no sharp objects or high heels are allowed on the transparent deck to protect the glass.
- Wear comfortable non-slip hiking shoes and lightweight, breathable clothing— the canyon paths have steep ups and downs, and the glass bridge area is windy at high altitude. Bring a small backpack with water, sunscreen, and a hat (no umbrellas allowed on the glass bridge due to wind safety).
- Optional adventure projects (bungee jump, zip line, via ferrata) require advance reservation on the official app or on-site service desk, and have age/weight restrictions (e.g., bungee jump is for visitors aged 18–60, weight 45–100 kg). Professional safety gear is provided, but it is recommended to check your physical condition before participating.
- There are shuttle buses from Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Bus Station to the grand canyon (about 40 minutes, 15 RMB per person) and no private cars are allowed to enter the scenic area directly. Plan your return trip in advance, as the last shuttle bus departs from the scenic area at 18:00 pm.
