Zhangjiajie Baihu‑Tang (White Tiger Hall)

Baihu‑Tang (White Tiger Hall) sits in Wulingyuan District of Zhangjiajie, close to the core Forest‑Park area

It gets its name from local ancient stories. In old times, wild tigers frequently appeared in this deep mountain valley, so local Tujia people named this place White Tiger Hall.

The forest coverage here is above 95%. Lush trees, clear mountain streams, unique rock formations and quiet gorges form pristine natural scenery away from crowded tourist hot‑spots. You can walk along gentle trails by creeks, enjoy fresh air with high‑density negative‑oxygen ions and listen to birdsong.
This area also carries Tujia folk culture about White‑Tiger mountain‑god and historical memories of Chinese Red Army from 1934….

Unlike the busy main scenic zones, Baihu‑Tang keeps its original wild charm without heavy commercial development. It is a fantastic hidden spot for slow‑paced hiking and relaxing after visiting crowded Avatar‑mountains area.
