How Can I Get to Fenghuang Ancient Town

Fenghuang ancient city is located in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao autonomous prefecture, Hunan province, and it is 53 kilometers south of Jishou city. There are many ways to get to Fenghuang ancient town ,please read more as following .

1, Take Train to Jishou City

Tourist can take train to Jishou city from Beijing , Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzheng, Zhangjiajie, Changsha , Guiyang and some other popular cities in China . There are buses to phoenix ancient in the train station square ,The buses run every 20 minutes , the earliest bus start at 7:00am and the latest one is 6:00pm . It take roughly 1 hour drive to get to Fenghuang Ancient town .

2, Take Fast Train to Huaihua City

As the Hukung(Shanghai-kunming) Fast railway completely open in the year of 2014 and the (Huai-Shao-Heng) fast railway put in to use in the year of 2018, people can take fast train get to Huaihua easily from Changsha, Guangzhou,Chengdu, Shenzheng, Kunming, Shanghai, Guiyang,Beijing, Hangzhou, Hongkong. There is bus station next to the Huaihua Fast train station , there buses go to Fenghuang every one hour , The price is 40rmb with a 70 minutes ride . But the most Convenient and quick way is to book a pick up service in advance .

3, Take Flight to Tongren Airport

There are flight fly to Guizhou Tongren phoenix airport from Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing . Tongren airport is 30 kilometers away from phoenix ancient town, when arrive the airport , there is public bus station next to the fast train station which is 2 minutes walk. Tourist can take a regular public bus to Fenghuang ancient town, but may need to wait for a long time for more people . The earliest bus start at 7:30am and the last bus is 4:30 pm at the latest afternoon, ticket price is 22CYN with 60 minutes ride. But the most Convenient and quick way is to book a pick up service in advance .

4, Transfer From Zhangjiajie

Fenghuang city is 213 km away from zhangjiajie city . Tourist can extend their tours to Fenghuang city after Zhangjiajie. There 2 ways to get to Fenghuang Ancient town from Zhangjiajie city .

〉By Bus : There are 6 buses go to Fenghuang city from Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station . (8:30am, 9:30am, 10:30am, 14:30, 15:30,17:00) . It takes 4 hours , Price is 80 rmb/person.

〉By Train: There few trains go to Jishou city from zhangjiajie, tourists can take 2 hours train get to Jishou city , then takes 1 hour bus get to Fenghuang city .
